All'età di otto anni, Léa cresce con la sua sorellastra Julie sotto la guida di Eden, una madre intransigente.

Un giorno, la bambina vede un cadavere galleggiare sulla superficie di un fiume. Convinta che sia il padre che non ha mai conosciuto, inizia a interrogare Eden su di lui. Di fronte al silenzio materno, le due sorelle decidono di condurre una propria indagine.

È allora che Léa incontra Simon, un uomo che vive ai margini del bosco e della città, in una roulotte non lontano dal lago e realizza pupazzi con materiali riciclati. Léa si affeziona a lui nella speranza di trovare suo padre.

At the age of eight, Léa grows up with her half-sister Julie under the guidance of Eden, an uncompromising mother.

One day, the little girl sees a corpse floating on the surface of a river. Convinced that it is the father she has never known, she begins to question Eden about him. Faced with maternal silence, the two sisters decide to conduct their own investigation.

That's when Léa meets Simon, who lives in a trailer not far from the lake and makes puppets from recycled materials. Léa becomes attached to him in the hope of finding her father.
